Hello July, How About Those Resolutions?

Oh July, you did not see me doing a very good job on my resolutions.  I can’t even use the excuse that it’s been too hot, because we’ve had wonderful summer weather that has barely broken 9o.

1.  Flossing is so off track.  I do it, but it’s random and my former discipline is out the window.  I need to make a routine again.  In other toothy news, my dentist appointment went well.  No cavities and the dentist said I had the best teeth he had seen all month.  I have my mother’s genes to thank for that one.  Turning 62 this year and never had a cavity in her life.

2.  So I’m not running.  I can’t even pretend that I’m running.  This morning I thought about running, but did the pilates DVD instead.  That by itself is an accomplishment because I don’t think I had even done that since my last resolution post.  I’m starting to feel real sluggish and I think part of the problem is that I’m not doing much exercising beyond walking to my car, so I’ve decided to recommit to doing some sort of concentrated exercise every other day, whether it’s a DVD or going out for a walk/run.

3.  Vitamins are still not happening.  It’s the whole routine/habit thing I need to get back into.

4.  My debt is going down in good order.  Right now it’s coming in at $8034.  A $220 difference from last month!  This means that my total change in debt so far this year is $430, which is very very close to my $500 goal.  In this the next month or two, I should reach it!

5.  So my toes are still not in contact with my fingers unless my knees are bent.  They may have even gotten farther away…

6.  I have managed to read two more books in the past month, so good for me.  Finished Machine of Death, a short story collection about people who know how they are going to die, and Rosemary’s Baby.  Currently working my way through Kraken.  I’m at 13/25 for the end of the year count.
