I've always wanted to do one, and I thought I'd share some of my favorites with you guys. I left out GG cos most of the flist has read all the best, but everything else pretty much goes. :D
Veronica Mars
1) This Life by Arwengiverney
Set after Not Pictured. Follows Logan and Veronica one week per year over many years. LoVe LoVe Love
- Amazing writing, creative and original plots, and heaps of realistic fluff and humor. As much as some of us hate to admit it, we all love sap. Probably my absolute favorite VM fic...I look forward to every update.
2) Twisted by Mooncat99
What if Keith had died in the middle of the first season? Would that leave Veronica all alone? LoVe.
- This fic is one of the saddest I've read it a long while. It's seems like a lot of others out there, but the emotion and rawness and hopefulness in it adds something so real to it...the characters are completely IC and we get to see Logan and Veronica deal with all of there issues together.
3) Life in Slow Motion by Angel Monroe
What if there were bullets in the gun. A chapter piece exploring a 'what if' of Lucky's homicidal turn. LoVe pairing, but includes many characters. Spoilers 2.21 and 2.22 in later chapters.
- Lots of drama and angst and all the characters we know and love working together for our favorite blonde PI. It keeps you in the seat of your chair at every new chapter.
4) Trial By Furry by Sarah's Crack
Who says a trial can't be fun?
-It's just adorable. Family life for Logan, Veronica, and their daughter, Mandy. It;s the funniest fic your going to read in a long time. And the writing's perfect; a hard find. Also read the sequels, When I Was a Child and All the Way Home.
Smallvile
1) The Year of a Relationship by Jade4813
Milestones in Lois and Clark's relationship, taken from different periods in their lives and presented over the course of a year. Hard to summarize, but please read and review! Clois.
- Purely Lois and Clark...as friends, dating, and as something more than that. There's love, angst, fluff, humoe, drama...it had everything, and it written amazingly well. One of the first SV fics I've read and still a favorite.
2) Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow: Full Circle by SunRei
Sometimes the seeds of yesterday are planted tomorrow... Chloe searches for her two best friends when they mysteriously disappear, while Lois and Clark find themselves somewhere they never thought they would be. Cast: LoisChloeClarkOCs.
- Probably one of the most confusing/complicated/amazing fics in this fandom. It really has something for everyone. An awesome read, overall. Read, also: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow: Tailspin.
One Tree Hill
1) Golden by lucia marin
They retreat slowly, deeper into the darkness of the verandah, the scent of sex and magnolias, the throb of fireflies waiting outside in the thick night." A tragic, beautiful romance between two survivors of a very different nature.PL
-The only way I can think to describe it is that it's not an One Tree Hill fic. It's so much more; it's one of the most beautifully told stories I've ever read.
Prison Break
1) Trick of the Light by msgenevieve
The first time she thinks she sees him, she blames the complimentary Mai Tai. Spoilers for the whole of Season One. Michael/Sara
- Such an fantabulous fic. Amazing story, amazing chemistry between Michael and Sarah, and such amazingly real angst and drama. A fic definitely worth reading.
2) The Appointments by Bliss Ink
Sara makes good on her promise to let Michael and Lincoln see each other at the infirmary. But these little encounters bring everyone more than they've bargained for...
- Another perfect PB fic. The Michael/Sarah interaction is amazing, and the relationship of all the other chacacters makes this story completely compelling.
3)Twelve Months by itrustyoutokillme
Following a year in the life of Michael & Sara as they discover they are having a baby. Set between September and September, it includes all the festivities of Halloween, Christmas and their birthdays.
-One of the best baby fics you'll read in any fandom. It's fluffy, but not overally sticky...it has drama, but not too tragic...just a great fic that'll have you literally laughing out loud.
