How Ood!
Sat alone in my private study (yes as part of our new living arrangements I get some private space) I poured tea into twin china mugs and replaced the tea cosy. I knew Donna had arrived moments before (I heard her), and it took approximately 4 minutes to get from the front door, passed Jackie, to my study. I popped on my glasses (for reading), took off my jacket (for thinking) and chomped down on the stem of my rosewood pipe (for looking 10% cooler).
Donna entered, screamed, hugged me, and then reprimanded me for smoking a "death stick." (with a slap)I grinned and blew a bubble, she laughed.
"A bubble pipe?"
"A bubble pipe."
She laughed again. "Sometimes you still surprise me."
This thrilled me more than joy of seeing her. We chewed the cud as it were, and discussed her love life in more detail than I should wish to know, we talked about her next 'milking' and when and where we would take our holiday together (another perk to my negotiated peace with Rose). Anything but the Octopus headed man, my dreams, or the end of the world as we know it (or so I suspect).
Eventually we came to a natural silence, tea had been drank, topped up and drank again. The pot was bare.
"So?" She said, fidgeting as it became apparent that we needed to discuss yet another mystery. "The other day in the shop."
"Indeed."
"Well it was..." I stopped her before she could go off on one of her very long tales which are nigh on to keep up with even with my superior brain power.
"Did it look like this?" I showed her a picture of an Ood that I had found on an online dating site (not that I was searching for love, but realised that an Ood stuck on Earth would very likely have difficulty meeting women).
"YES yes that's exactly it." She paused, "Only scarier, and bigger fangs."
I gave her 'a look.'
"OK it didn't have fangs." She admitted.
"Fraidy cat." I teased.
"Martian." She retaliated. "So what exactly is going on?"
And that, my dear diary, is the $1 billion question. All I can tell you, is Donna has now opened up an online dating account, and is trying to woo and Ood.
