Saw my doctor this morning....I was nervous about seeing her because it has been so long and since I saw her last my weight has spiraled through many phases, but she said my weight is fine! She checked me out and through checking my heartbeat she could tell I was working out. I love my doctor here. I'll really miss her with my change of health plans. I'm still in limbo with that, and we'll have to wait and see with that. So even though I've been pretty lazy since being at home, I have improved with my fitness and food regimen. And yes, we had the sex and gyno talk. I started working out again yesterday with my sister, and we had a bowling night at my grandmother's new residence. It was actually fun to see her because she has a better lifestyle. It seems like a better situation for my parents, which is the most important.

My mom and my sister and I went around Boston for some shopping after my appointment. Mom bought some cute clothes for herself which she deserves, and then we had oysters and French Onion Soup at Brasserie Jo. It was super fun to have the three girls together. Who knows when we'll have it again. Even though I'm getting into SF, I'll try to manage my time and make something happen again with the family soon. But either way I know eventually I'll ship back out to Beantown, or somewhere in the Northeast, permanently.

The kids of my next door neighbors are doing great. Three out of four kids are married or close to it. One of them is even pregnant! I can't believe how much time has gone by. They are like our second family since we grew up side by side since babyhood.

Christmas Eve party was fantastic! Our food was good with just enough food for everyone. I loved seeing the near and dear people and reconnecting with them. The time difference makes it harder to touch base, but I'll try harder. Spending time with them makes me realize that there really is no place like home! I'm really glad I took this time off because it's a time when everyone else is off too.

2007 has been a transitional year for me. It has been all about trying on pairs of adult shoes and learning to walk around in them. Likewise, with love I have been learning to branch out and take risks while trying not to sacrifice my ideals. I've always observed love issues through others, especially through my college friends, but now to experience those issues firsthand makes for a whole different perspective!

friends, family, health
