It's not like a have a lot of time to engage in recreational TV watching right now, but while I impatiently wait for new episodes of a certain show about animated ninjas to come out, I've found something else to entertain myself with in the wee hours of the night/morning in-between work sessions/during meals.
Yet another Chinese drama about Bruce Lee! It's all in Mandarin, with no subtitles, but no worries! It's about Bruce Lee, my life role model and idol, so I obviously already know everything that happens. ;p Also, I have someone to translate it all for me. Not to mention...
It stars Kwok-Kwan Chan (otherwise known as Danny Chan--how the hell do these guys pick their Western names, anyway?), who is the hottest man I've ever seen in my entire life. So... who really needs subtitles? And he looks just like Bruce Lee! In fact, you may remember him from Stephen Chow's Shaolin Soccer, where he played Fourth Brother, a Bruce Lee look-alike:
He also played the leader of the Axe Gang in Kung Fu Hustle, who is decidedly
*not* a Bruce Lee look-alike, but still a badass.
The point is, if I'm not watching cartoons about ninjas I'm watching unsubtitled Chinese TV dramas about Bruce Lee, so I am clearly Captain COOL-pants over here.
Oh, and speaking of China, my friend's sister plays Cinderella at Hong Kong Disneyland and is featured in
this commercial. Crazy! (That little girl's dad looks totally embarrassing to be around, though, am I right?)
