Amber Alert: Awesome Thing

Awesome Thing has been located, unscathed!

Here's the bullet pointed summary:

- Truck driver, who I am lovingly going to call Ed the Special, picked up load of 8 awesome things on Thursday. 6 were to go to Nashville, 2 to Chattanooga. Deliveries were to be made on Friday.

- Ed made his delivery of 2 Awesome Things to Chattanooga on Friday morning. Despite already being almost 2/3 of the way to his destination, only 2 hours away from the delivery point, Ed, who apparently lives near Chattanooga, then decided that he was, yawn, stretch, done for the week. So he went home for the weekend, load of [Awesome] valuing $350,000 in tow.

- Ed woke up bright and early Monday morning and thought, "Wull gosh dang, I gots me two empty spots in my truck." So, again, despite already being 2/3 of the way to his destination with a 3/4 full load, Ed then drove BACK to the point of origin, four hours away, to pick up two more Awesome Things. Yes, Ed did this with the remaining 6 awesome things still in his truck.

- Ed failed to let anyone know about this and, by my speculation, the only way anyone figured out where Ed was and/or what he was doing is that he showed back up at the point of origin to pick up two more Awesome Things.

- Four of the Awesome Things on that truck had been sold. Four had customers waiting to take delivery on Friday, which would have been four additional sales for not only the month of October, but for the 3rd Quarter. These are sales that the Awesome Thing Store will not be able to recognize until this month.

My Awesome Thing is supposedly being delivered tonight. My Awesome Thing Salesperson and I both said we will believe it when we see it, but if Ed actually does his job for a change (and maybe for the last time), I'll have Awesome Thing tomorrow.
