ignite

Length: 67 words
Summary: & I start to burn. Slowly.

You flick on with the touch of a button,

a little mechanism readying you for your task.

My pale body awaits your heat.

Your red mouth kisses me

and I start to burn.

Slowly.

You crawl up me,

singeing my every inch with your touch.

I am consumed by you,

and we become smoke together.

At the end,

I am nothing but ashes

and you nothing but a gray curl of the breeze.

We’re spent,

our purposes served.
