There's a rat in mah kitchen what am i gonna do?

so, yes. we have a rat. it appeared the night before last and Harry (bless his cottons) tried his best to get it but it got away. this is all according to Dominic, i haven't actually seen said creature, but i'm sure he's not going mad....
Harry's been stalking around ever since trying to find the rat. He's so cute! anyway, i bought a couple of rat traps from B&Q (i hate to kill any animal, but there's not really any other way to get rid of it), so we'll have to see what happens. luckily i'm away this weekend (in chavindon) so dominic will have to deal with it!
in other news, i went to the pub last night to hear mandy's tales of new york. sounds like she had a great time! her 30-something friends were there too, and they're nice enough, but kinda....well, old. it's scary what a difference settling down and having kids makes to a person. i don't ever want to be like that.
i am too old for going out on a "school night" though....i feel a bit pooey today. almost skived work, but i dragged my arse in. got a headache tho....i think i need toast.
btw, hot fuzz was AMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZING. can't wait to see it again.
oh, and i'm having a house party next saturday (24th feb). PEOPLE OF TEH INTERWBS, YOU ARE INVITED :D i know michellemus is coming, and it'd be great to see people again.
