I'm going to try this one again. I think I found a decent explanation of what I'm seeing, and it should be in a tangible enough format for the point to be visible.
what I'm mad at is not religion. It is the means that certain persons use it to meet their own agenda. My mother for example, believes wholeheartedly that homosexuality is an irrevocable sin, and that one who engages within it shall never be allowed near the pearly gates. Merely breathing is said to be a sin, and in theory we should all be equal in it, however in practice that is no where near the case. Especially here in America, where we have paradoxical and conflicting values.
Her focus on the story is not with the trials of this individual's life. She sees it as a gay (derogatory) being killed (which is attributed to be a good thing) and their organs being harvested which permits a number of other people who were waiting in line to be cured. That the cure for these 12 or so people is the work of God.
Which I find simply horrifying. It is akin to the ones who come out during every disaster and say it was due to our sin. September 11th, Sin! Flooding, Sin!
and it is a martyr for peace, akin to the Christ story, an individual who was different, and without our conceptions of sin (a child) who was slaughtered in a merciless senseless action. This one was shot in the head, by a gun, in a library, held by the guy the individual had a crush on. Having that story being changed into an example reinforcing homophobic tendencies that I find soul crushing.
and if you are, if my webcomic (launching fully tomorrow) has some attached business to it in shirts and shit, would you want it rather than cafepress, since I'm fairly certain I'd prefer to work with you instead?
yup, i'm still planning on it. i've been doing side stuff for another community, tho, so personal business has been put aside for a bit. i was going to ask you, tho, are you still working on the site, or is that attatched to your webcomic? as for shirts for your stuff, what did you need, handmade shirts, or screen printing, or both, or what?
not 100% on what we'll need, I'm working on everything right now.
But, tomorrow will be official launch and a fairly active webday, since my artist has gotten himself infamous rather than doing the strip.
Might be both; I'd love to put everything up in the webcomic one. Lots of webwork, little time. Alright, if you're still on board, I'll put it all in a yahoo business type of thing, doo-tee-doo. I'll have more for you in a couple of hours.
I'm just doing the actual strip away at this point. For now let's run you through the comic site, and when you get your own domain, I'll help you with the designs for the page.
As for products. Both forms sound like they'd have their ups and downs. Once we have a decent logo, I'd suggest putting all of your stuff up with it, or without it :D
I just want to make sure you'd still be open to it
