So about a month ago, my good friend
Bixxy asked me to be a cover model for the magazine that she’s the managing editor for. It was to be a remote shoot, illustrating the use of Ham radio equipment from the top of a mountain - the theme of the main article of that issue.
There was much hiking that day - I think we went about 7 miles, with several hundred feet of vertical climb, to a location in my town that had a tower erected on it back in the late 1800s, I believe. We took pictures of the tower, and of me perched on top of a cliff with a radio antenna, pretending to speak into a several-thousand-dollar piece of equipment that I was terrified I’d drop off the cliff. Fortunately there were no incidents of people/equipment treated thusly.
