I was in Dorset the first time around in 1994 and then reading my Lit degree back in Essex from 96-99. Is Matthew the reason you moved to California? When did you buy your current house in CT?
How many times did you go to put your groceries in the rear of the Beetle and "D'oh!"
I moved to California for a job. Matthew made the move easier because I wasn’t doing it alone, but all in all I might have been better off by myself. When he left after a little more then a year I was not sorry to see him go!
I love the picture of my friend Jon standing in the engine bay looking puzzled. I wish the resolution was better.
All these photos are from a disposable camera that rattled around various drawers for several years before I found and developed them, so the quality is distinctly “meh.”

The new ones were fun. I bought the green one because I could fix it with my eyes closed. For a nearly 30 year old car it was in good shape!
