Brief Picture Update
Been doing SO MUCH HOME IMPROVEMENT! We are partially finishing the basement, with a couple of walls that separate the space into three rooms: a workshop, a furnace room (I’d call it a Utility Room but it only contains the furnace) and a clean storage room/laundry room. It seemed important to have the washing machine/dryer in a different room

Still have to topcoat the stained areas and desktop with polyurethane (I’ll remove the handles first) and make a few adjustments.
There’s going to be an exhaust fan in the ceiling and removable sides so I can have a paint-booth on the left, near the window (but can leave the sides off for more room when not doing stinky stuff).
Then I can unpack all the boxes that were behind me as I took this picture!
