Why I'll Never Make It as a Stripper*
Wednesday night, I tried using paint stripper to get the paint off the foyer door frame pieces, because I thought that using the heat gun and scraping would gouge the delicate ogee contour of the wood.
I am NEVER going to use stripper again. I hate that crap. Argh. It worked OK on the parts that the heat gun would ALSO have worked OK on (the wide, flat areas), and totally didn't work for shit on the delicate fiddly parts, which ended up gouged because the stripper softens the wood.
Argh.
