(no subject)
My paid account expired.
Now I hafta decide whether to re-up.
I like Livejournal, and don't think there's a substitute that I'm interested in. But, of course, I don't actually have to have a paid account to get 90% of what I value out of Livejournal.
The things I'll miss:
- posting via email (I do this a LOT)
- Mucho icons
...and, I can't think of anything else.
ETA: Paid accounts have NO GODDAMN ADS, the first of which I experienced today. I think that may be enough to get me to pay the $25. Bleah.
If Facebook is supposed to be the great usurper of Livejournal, it falls woefully short for me. I guess I like writing in greater quantity than I think it can handle. Plus, I can easily control who reads what here - and I don't know (and frankly haven't tried too hard to find out) how to do it in FB.
So, should I re-up?
