So Far: Day One-Point-Five
Follow-up updated:
- install ceiling medallion/hang chandelier Done
- put new window glazing putty into window sashes Done
- install window sashes Done
- procure/install 3 outlets & 2 switches & new cover plates Done
- Scrape remaining paint off glass Done
- move furniture back into room, except china cabinet which is going into the garage for a "Free on Craigslist" get-it-the-hell-outta-my-life ad
- fix the living room, which has been thrown into disarray by all the extra furniture Done
- clean, including finding new digs for everything that was in the china cabinet
Added:
- Hang curtains (gotta get spring-rods for temporary curtain hangage, until new new window treatments are designed/created) Done
- Move rug to basement (the dining room rug has pretty much had it) Done
I got a WHOLE CRAPLOAD done Thursday night and Friday. It took HOURS. My mother even helped with scraping paint off the window glasses (she saved me probably an hour worth of work, and enjoyed herself).
The dining room is DONE, except for hanging curtains and moving the furniture. Saturday, I can relax until Clay gets home (I can't move much of the furniture myself), then we will re-appoint the dining room, making adjustments as necessary. Then just straighten-out the un-burdened living room, and go back to relaxing.
