Now that I have the re-upholstery bug, NOTHING IS SAFE.
The piano bench, as it came with my 1933 Kurtzmann player piano:
The original mohair upholstery was UNDER that dreadful fabric:
Here is the new fabric for it:
The 1883 DB Hartley reclining chair project is coming along; here's the base, rebuilt, with the new jute webbing in place:
...next comes the backing fabric (to keep the stuffing from falling through the webbing), then the stuffing (horsehair and cotton batting), then the top fabric. Here's the back, with the backing fabric over the webbing:
And, finally, though it's a couple of weeks late, a pic of the crocuses in bloom (first sign of spring!)
