All in All, Not Bad
The Fourth (U.S. Independence Day, for my non-U.S. friends) was not too bad.
I worked in the morning, though it was not a strain. It would have been a strain if the party I went to in the afternoon was not five minutes from work. Also, there is just no killing yourself with work when you're only here for three hours then head to a party.
That afternoon, the fabulous bixxy and trimalchio hosted a gigantolor Fourth party, and much joyousness was available. There was even a decent LJ presence there, with wardo68, 68024, stacyinthecity, choriamb, dsign and myself there, and many, many other cool people. I am seeing posssibilities for future hangidge-outidge as well. There were DEFINATELY some people who are cool & wierd in the same way that WE are cool & wierd. Which is always a plus. There will be game nights in our future, and 1000 BWC!
After coming home and feeding/exercising the puppies, we headed back out and saw The Transformers movie. Fun, but dumb. Much action, like, peel your eyeballs off the back of your skull.
All in all, a pretty good Fourth!
