Wow. Kael just spent $300 on me for clothes:o
Ive never spent that much money for clothes at one time. And really we didnt get much, but it is nice to have clothes that look good on me and fit right.
We were originally just looking for a dress that I can wear to his sister's wedding later in the month. Nothing at Department stores ever fits me. Im slightly pudgy, and I have a rather large chest and full hips, but a smallish waist. So even in the largest sizes that I can find at Penneys and Dillards usually fit me in the waist and maybe in the hips, but never in the chest. I decided to try Lane Bryant, just to see (I used to get all my nicer clothes there) and I asked one of the girls for help, and she tells me "Honey, I think youre too skinny for us." :P That felt good cuz I usually think Im obsenely fat:P. I explained the problem, that usually large sizes dont fit me in the chest or hips, and I was hoping to find something cut right there. Not to mention, Im tall. Most dept stores seem like their clothes are made to fit girls that are 5' to 5'6 and about a size 0-4. And thats it, (also, all the dresses I could find either screamed 'slut' or 'grandma' and nothing in between.
Once I convinced the girl that I really did wear a 14 or 16 and not an 8 or 10 (:P again felt good:D) She kept finding me things that showed my shoulders (like spaghetti straps and such) And I never really wear those thiongs, Ive never been comfortable with the way I look. She kept telling me that I needed to wear something that showed my shoulders...that it would look more feminene.
It was kinda nice. she had me trying on things that I never would have tried without persuasion, and I like the way they made me look:). I had a real figure:P I need a tan, but other than that:P
And it was nice that everytime I tried something on, she had some compliment ("oh, thats nice, it shows off your tiny waist and nice calves") but would also be honest about things like "Oh, yeah hunny, you got a little pudge around your hips, so we need something to hide that"
Ok..if you dont want to read all that babble in the cut...this is the consice version: I got new clothes and they look good on me and I feel better about myself.
Ill try and coax Kael in to taking pics of me in my new clothes later and show ya'll:D
