[His voice is urgent!]

Hakuba! I just received an e-mail notification from Kid! He's planning to steal the Storm God's Tear from a local museum here in Inaba!

In Inaba? [You can't see him but he's frowning.] What kind of jewel is that? A sapphire?

Yes. A 100 carat sapphire with a sordid past. I'll send you a copy of the e-mail notification. [And consider that notification sent!]

He's going to strike on Thursday. That's two days from now. I've already texted Edogawa-san with the details. We need to start making preparations now!

Thanks, I will study it.

Yes, we do. Can you sent em a map of the museum too? And the whole neighborhood.

Yes, I can do that. [And sending you a detailed map of the area, including directions to the museum, for worldhopping purposes...]

You should know that there will only be about a dozen security personnel on duty at the museum. The sapphire is scheduled to be handed over to the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum this Saturday. Edogawa-san thinks that the fewer people involved, the better.

Thanks Naoto. [Amazing.]

I agree, more people means more distractions and more change for Kid-san to use a disguise. They would not mind of us being there?

[Gotta love MapQuest. Or Google Maps.]

The Inaba Police Department is too tied up with the serial murder case to spare any manpower, even if they wanted too. We're underfunded and understaffed. Besides, no one would believe that there's a Phantom Thief going to steal the Storm God's Tear. There have been no records of that sort of thievery since my great-grandfather's time.

We're on our own, this time... The museum staff probably wouldn't mind, but we're not going to get any help from the police department.

[Much :)]

It will be better if they keep their attention focused in the murder cases.

I'm used to that.

Exactly. And the fewer people involved, the less likely Kid will disguise himself as one of the guards and make his escape through the crowd of confusion.

I think we should all meet up this afternoon. Edogawa-san wants to get a good look at the museum's layout beforehand.
