The wife and I had a bizarre discussion last night while watching 'Batman Returns'.
WIFE: Look at all those penguins! Those are real penguins, none of that robot nonsense.
ME: You know that back in nineteen-ninety-whatever, some guy was totally training penguins, hoping for the day when a crowd of them would be needed. And Tim Burton knocked on his door and said 'Dude. I need your penguins. All of them.' and the guys life finally had meaning. And the penguins were like 'AWK AWK AWK AWK AWK!'
WIFE: *stunned silence*
ME: That's exactly how it happened.
And then we laughed for long enough to forget what was going on in the movie.
I love Batman.
