Okay. 'M pretty sure Midgar hasn't got any castles. Doesn't look Wutian either. So either someone's been playin' at kidnappin' Turks or this another of those things.

I'm guessing th' latter. I could do without th' cold though.

Looks like I ain't gonna be comin' in to work today.

where the hell is this?, cold isn't fun, fuck, not my fault

A similar thing happened to me. Though castles are a familiar occurance in my fandom, but things look different here. Fortunately, the king of...wherever I am is very kind. He agreed to temporarily hire me as a knight until I figure out how to get back to my world. Right now I'm on a boat with him and his daughter. We're going to the kingdom of a Queen Uberta and her son Derek. Apparently the King and Queen are trying to arrange a marriage between their two children.

Yeah, I noticed. It's kind'f all over the place here. Only less 'on a boat' and 'daughter' and more... me in armor and 'son'.

You get used to being in armor after a while.

...I know this is a long shot, but is this son you're with named Derek?

It's loud, 'n noisy, 'n cumbersome. All things I usually can't afford in my line 'f work.

...Yeah, that was th' name.

I find the ability to survive most killing strikes a fair trade-off.

Then I think we might both be in the same place!

Back home, we use guns more'n swords. Doesn't mean shit if you've got a plate of metal strapped to you then.

I kind'f figured, yo.

We don't have as much guns in my fandom as others might, but our armor is still tested against firearms.

Have you heard anything about the situation this land is in?

Okay, fine. But 's still cumbersome an' annoying.

An' arranged marriage t' unite th' two great countries, I think?

Well yes, but I was referring more to the rumors that I've heard the other knights whispering behind the kings back. The one about an evil sorceror.

Though Lady Odette does seem reluctant about the whole marriage idea.

I've heard a few things. Amazin' what you start t' pick up when you listen.

She ain't th' only one, trust me.

As grateful as I am to King William, simply banishing the sorceror seems too kind.

I take it young Prince Derek has similar feelings?

Oh, 'f I see him I fully intend t' off him for good.

That's th' one, yo.

I would prefer to convince the King to reconsider his decision so I can do it legally.

Is it really impossible for the two of them to swallow their pride and learn to love each other? It's for the good of two kingdoms after all.

'F that's th' way you wanna do it...

Depends on them. An' I either way I ain't th' expert on the subject.

I know love isn't something you can force, but if it's for the greater good...

Not to mention it sounds like their parents have been planning this for quite a while.

Might be one 'f th' reasons that they're objectin' so much.
