'S an artifact 'f the shitty graphics in th' first part of our fandom. Systems weren't good at 'real' back then. He doesn't really look like that.

Th' second also doesn't look quite like that in real life.

A Gunmen is a mecha operated by a pilot, usually of Beastmen variety before the takeover of Teppelin. Gunmen sport a variety of weaponry: primitive models only use large clubs or bare hands, while advanced ones use swords, or projectile and beam weaponry. Gunmen are powered by their human pilots' Spiral Energy, or by electricity when piloted by a Beastman as the latter does not possess the genetic coding of Spiral Energy.

Cait ain't really a mech. He's more an artificial being. Made up 'f computers and cogs an' things. Does a real good job 'f lookin' real though, even if he ain't.
