I can't sleep. I don't know why. That isn't entirely true, but the explanation makes me sound like a nut. Ok here goes: My nose is still all stuffy from last week when I had the Flu. When my nose is stuffy and I cannot get it un-stuffy, then I can't breathe through my nose. Because if I do breathe through my nose it will whistle or something, and that annoys me. So I have to breathe through my mouth. Well, I once read about how people eat a certain amount of spiders in their sleep. So I never knowingly sleep with my mouth open due to the fact that I would like to keep the spiders that crawl into my mouth a minimal. Luckily I have a watch cat, who can kill spiders in her sleep. She has saved me from a number of the evil hairy eight legged spawn of the devil. Icky, it is so gross. I am now awake for any number of hours because i can't breathe.
Luckily my little cutie cats are out here keeping me company. Sometimes it a little annoying. Like today, I went into the bathroom and Layla as usual followed. Well, all of a sudden Baloo starts howling outside the door until I opened it. I figured it was because he wanted Layla. Nope, I open the door and he bee lines straight for me and meows til I pick him up. That was all he wanted. When I shower he lays on the bathmat and waits for me to come out. It is cute though.
I got a job today. I will be working at a Godiva stand in the mall. My level of excitement, on a scale from 1-10 is a negative 7. It would be negative 10, but I get free chocolate. It is part of the job to make and taste the goodies. That is 10 lbs waiting to happen. However, it is only part time and only until we get a car and I can find a job doing something I actually enjoy. The job isn't official yet. As long as I pass all the background checks it'll be fine. I don't forsee a problem. I just realized, I have never interviewed for a job that I haven't gotten. Everytime I go on an interview, I get hired. Sweet deal.
My days as the "Housewife" (and by housewife I of course mean girlfriend. But I do housewifey things) is coming to an end. There will be no more eating BonBons while watching Oprah in my robe and slippers. Boohiss...i will miss what will now be referred to as the 'Good Ol' Days'.
Keegan's brother is getting married next June. His fiancee and I email back and forth all the time. I only met them once, but they are both really nice. Anyways, even though I have only met her once, she always asks my opinion on dresses and stuff. It is fun. She just bought her wedding dress. It is a gorgeous dress. GORGEOUS!!!!!! It is the one I liked best. It is nice to be included even though I don't know her that well. It is a strange, how things turn out. Us ladies who are brave enough to date the Adcock men have to stick together. Keegan's cousin got married a little over a week ago. He said it was beautiful. I guess she is setting the bar pretty high. And his brothers wedding sounds amazing, so the bar will keep getting higher and higher. (Mom and Dad start saving now haha definitely j/k) They wouldn't need that fund for 10-15 years.
Keegan and I are (as always) doing really well and are very happy. I am afraid I cannot go into much more details than that. I will never be one of those girls who proclaim their undying love for their current beau. If we get married (IF) then maybe, but until then I am going to stick with the "doing well and happy" schtick. I just can't bring myself to be one of those girls brag about finding the love of their life or their "soul mate". The last thing I want is to go through a nasty break up and then end up re-reading these old entries and having my heart stepped on all over again. Plus, i don't believe in soul mates. All that stuff is fine for other people, its just not me. I don't like to broadcast. If I did maybe I would pull a Richard Gere-Cindy Crawford sort of stunt (for those who don't know what I am talkign about...google it. oh gerbals) i am all for other people doing it, as long as it isn't prematurely. You know, like a week into it. but it is obviously none of my business.
So I was reading a comment on someone's page the other day and this guy misspelled the same word over and over. I kept thinking to myself, what a dumbass. i hope he doesn't have a job where spellling matters. I thought it was a typo or something at first..but nope misspelled multiple times.
I am going to leave you with a few pearls of wisdom:
** Eat peanut butter ice cream and raspberry sorbet instead of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich
** If it doesn't feel right, it probably isn't
** 90210 is always good to watch. It is classic TV
** People are stupid, use it to your advantage
(and from a very good movie)
**But there are some things I know for certain: always throw spilt salt over your left shoulder, keep rosemary by your garden gate, plant lavender for luck, and fall in love whenever you can.
