For me, the game Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side has made a big impact for my whole life.
I always love shonen mangas more than the shoujo ones (up until now^^), and I wasn't into otome games, in fact I DISLIKE(d) it XD
I loved the female characters more than the males. I also played dating-sim for guys and read female-harem mangas more. Those kind of things made me thought that probably I should have born as a guy instead XD
It's all started about 3 months ago, if I remember it correctly. That time, I was so damn bored because there are no game to play XD
Thus, I searched for some games to play, and I accidentally read a preview about this Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side ~ First Love Plus (Yep, the upgraded one. I'm lucky that I played the upgraded one instead of the normal one ^^). I recognize it as a popular dating sim game series, but I barely knew about it.
The preview didn't tell me much about this game, and I didn't find it quite worthed to try, coz I don't like visual-novel based games, especially when I looked at the screenshoot pictures. The screenshoot I mean here was Hazuki's CG with his finger on his lips (when he pushed the heroine in order not to be seen by his fans). Can you guess what I said that time?
"Grossssssss!!!! Who is that guy? Who the heck would want to play this kind of game?", just like that, and I ended up didn't try to play this game XD
Several days later, more bored than before, I half-heartedly decided to try the game. "I guess, it won't hurt to just try it a bit. Moreover it's developed a famous game developer, so it wouldn't be too bad." Thus, I tried it..., a bit..., then a bit more... and when I realized it, I was grinning all by myself, which made my friends confused for my unusual behavior XD
Ever since that time, many things has changed.
I started to love otome games, reading shoujo mangas, and appreciate the seiyuus^^ This game's really a start of many new things for me.
