Atelier Annie Finished!! .... maybe? XD

Just want to write some quick babbling review for Atelier Annie which I managed to finish recently^^
This game is actually pretty short and easy to beat. You only have to satisfy the requirements for the ending you aimed for. Oh by the way, there are 7 endings in total, including the Bad Ending.

Atelier Annie: Alchemists of Sera Island
Developer: Gust
Publisher: NIS America
Release Date: October 27 2009
Platform: Nintendo DS
Genre: Simulation RPG
Rating: ESRB E10+

So, like I said before, this game is reaaaallllyyyy easy to beat XD I managed to finish it in about 4 days, about only (more or less) 14 hours in total. And I could even finish it quicker if I didn't spend my time leveling up my characters, which isn't really needed, unless you're aiming for "Adventurer Annie" ending. (Yes, unlike the usual RPGs, this game has no last boss or something like that XD)
But well, there's some tricky parts. I don't use any walkthrough to play this game, thus I miss some recipes and the last 2 events with Liese, so I couldn't get the "True Ending" and get the "Royal Alchemist's Apprentice" instead. Well..., at least it's not the Bad Ending XD I might try to aim for the "True Ending" after I finished Luminous Arc 3.

Annie, Pepe and Hans. (and also Hoox XD)

So, the story would tell about a famous alchemist's grandchild whose name is Annie Eilenberg. Annie is a lazy girl who hated to do works and spent her days sat around and dreaming of marrying a rich guy (LOL XD) Worrying about their daughter, Annie's parent went to her grandfather, asking for an advice. So, her grandfather sent her to the Sera Island and made her study about alchemy under her grandfather's fairy acquaintance, Pepe. On top of that, she was forced to join a contest to develop the Sera Island into a better place using alchemy. Thus, she spent the rest of her days as an alchemist apprentice and also a project manager.

The opening video will told about Annie's bakground and how did she 'lost' in Sera Island. I would say that the video is definitely hilarious XD XD

If you're wondering about the video XDThis game is cute, but quite boring. The gameplay is pretty simple, but the story is amusing XD It's simple but it has some hilarious scenes and of course, the seiyuu make them better. "Seiyuu?" Yep, it's the seiyuu, not the dubber / voice actor (though seiyuu actually means voice actor XD) This is what I love the most from NIS America's translated game. They keep the Japanese voice while the text itself is in English!!! \(^^)/ Although it's not full-voiced, it still makes me really happy \(^^)/
Oh right, try equiping different kind of weapons to hear different comments from the seiyuu characters while attacking XD

About the battle system, you could encounter the enemies while gathering your material or by wandering around on the gathering point. Nothing difficult here, it's just a reeeaaaallllyyyy simple RPG game (well, the battle itself is not this game's forte). I'd say that there's only really a slight chance to encounter the enemies, and the battle itself is not difficult at all (which make it less fun =_=a at least for me).
There are six options for the battle menu. Of course 3 of the default ones are Attack (different names for different weapons), Item, and Flee. The rest are two for the character's special skill (one is requiring a certain level to be unlocked) and one more to switch to be a rear or front.

There isn't any 'boss' here, so you really don't need to level up your characters, save money to buy strong equipments, etc. Basically, all you need to do here is, find the material need to do your synthesis* to finish the game ^^

And if you're wondering about the seiyuu list, here it is:
- Annie Eilenberg - Nonaka Ai
- Hans Arlens - Sugiyama Noriaki
- Pepe - Sawashiro Miyuki
- Kilbert Hennes - Kosugi Jurota
- Gillian Clout - Akiyama Kaoru
- Kyle Eugrald - Sakaguchi Daisuke
- Lisette Randel - Nogawa Sakura

I really love Noritan's voice as Hans >w< I think I might become his fans XD XD

*Synthesis is a way to make an item by gathering the needed materials and turn them into the item you want. You could also give them some traits (like heal +L, Puni Strike, Double ATK, etc) and it has different traits system for each Atelier series. For Atelier Annie, the traits are called as "Almanac".
