Dunno why, but my eyes burn, as if I'd jumped into a pool with chlorine or something. They aren't red at all though...hmmm. Perhaps it's from staring at a computer screen too long, or from driving on the interstate for a few hours on a semi-sunny day...who knows. I'll just take out my contacts when I get back to the house (in the office right now). Lessee, what did I do for the weekend?
Welp, on Friday night, I drove up to Tallahassee to spend the 3-day weekend with them. Nothing notable, really. Got around to watching my DVD copy of "Admissions". Lauren Ambrose is soooo good! I really only knew her from "Can't Hardly Wait" and a couple episodes of "Six Feet Under" (don't get HBO anymore). Anyhow, she blew me away in one scene in particular.
Also, talked to my grandparents on the phone, whom I hadn't spoken to in a few weeks. Sunday, we all went out to eat, then mass, then went to the $1 theater to see "Guess Who". I'd already seen it, and we actually wanted to see the Batman movie, or War of the Worlds, but those are over 2 hours long each, and didn't start until much later in the evening. I'd already seen "Guess Who", but had no problem seeing it again for a buck. The one problem I have with that movie is Ashton Kutcher...someone else could've done better. Ah well. I love Neicy Nash, who has a small part in that film as one of the mom's best friends. She cracks me up in "Reno 911" (don't get to watch it as much as I'd like). She's also the host of a show on Style network (one of those makeover shows, but with a garage sale element that is so funny every time).
I meant to leave Tallahassee early this morning, but my laptop was giving me problems, and I wanted to fix that before leaving. Also went ahead and signed my lease and my loan renewal info so I can pay tuition, heh. So, I didn't get into Orlando until 5:00, and pretty much stopped at the house to drop off my stuff, then came straight to the office to pluck at the PowerPoint presentation that needs to be done tomorrow by 5 (with speech points). This thing will end up being about 140 slides. Phew! I've got bankruptcy reform legislation coming out of my ears! Another 30 mins, then I'm going home to take out these contacts.
