afraid to nap at this point
Welp, tis almost 6:30 AM, and I'm still awake...what's up with this?!?! I'm at the point where I'm just gonna stay up because I'm afraid that if I go to sleep, I won't wake up in time to turn in my brief before 10:15. Again, I'm not particularly tired either. My contacts are bothering me a bit, so I should take those out...but that's really it. Oh, and my back is a tad sore, but that's probably due to sitting in place for so long making revisions and hammering out the technical stuff (Table of Citations, Certificate of Service,Table of Contents, Jurisdictional Basis, etc.).
Rained all day today/yesterday. And I mean POURING. Big time thunderstorms.
I hope it'll be nicer today/tomorrow weather-wise. Then again, I'll probably end up taking a long nap sometime in the afternoon, so the state of the weather will be irrelevant when I'm asleep.
Final page count for the brief was 29 (and boy did I work hard to get that down to 29). Apparently, the max allowed in the 9th Circuit is 30 pages. And ya never wanna be right at the max. And then there's things like signature lines, etc., which take up space. So, phew! 28 pages would have been ideal...but I can sleep at night knowing I did 29...wait, scratch that, apparently I'm having trouble with sleep.
Gonna find a way to kill the next hour, before I head to the library to print. Ooooh, "Full House" is on, hehe. Haven't seen that show in a while...I had a huge crush on John Stamos when I was a pre-teen. Good times.
