A year older

I passed my other weapons to Justin, my soldier. I took a step forward and took the metal bar handed to me. 3 tries was all I was given. I had to finish it off in 3 tries or it would be the end of Chloe Country. Steadying my feet, I stood firm and positioned myself in front of it. I could feel an army of eyes burning holes into my back. One advantage, was that we were spared from the blindfold. Our army was far too young. I had to do it. I lifted the bar, aimed, and using all my strength, I swinged the bar. "whack!!" One try gone. And all I made in it was a dent. Dang! I cursed. Chloe Country was at my hands! I couldn't just give up like that. I took my place again and set my eyes in a frown. It was swinging to and fro. Great. That just made it harder to aim. But I stood my ground and lifted the bar again. My second try. "Whack!!" The bar came down. Yes! I roared in my heart. Its whole body was hanging from the head by a thin piece of skin. The mere sight of it was like a revival for me. It gave me strength born from sheer euphoria. I'll finish this off, I promised myself. I gathered everything left of me and gave it my all. The well-aimed smack landed right on it, bursting it into an explosion of candy. It was the sign. "Charge!!!!!!!!!" Rang through each and every person's heart in my army. They ran straight towards it, bent down and started collecting the candy and putting it into their army baggages.
LMAO!!! Ahahahaha. So what exactly am I talking about? Any guesses? Haha. I can't believe that I actually wrote that whole passage down. It's so horribly funny!!! Did I confuse you? Okay, first to the real introduction of my entry today, then the explanation. Well, recently I've been attending lots of birthday parties. Erm. Wait. Not really. 2, to be exact. Darren's before the start of the eoys, and yesterday, my little cousin's. Darren's was a suprise party in the class, just a gathering with pizzas and cake, but my 7 year old cousin, Chloe's, was far from just a gathering. She practically invited her whole class, as well as her church group. So it was an awfully big birthday bash. Because there were so many people, we all couldn't fit into the house, and had to hold it on the rooftop. Haha. I can imagine some raised eyes. Don't get me wrong. The rooftop is a place specially to hold celebrations and festive seasons, and it's just a booking away. It's a really nice place, with an excellent view of the city skyline and even the national stadium. We went to the rooftop during the national day too, to watch the fireworks. Yeah, so we had the party there, and there was about 40+ children and about 30+ adults. Yup, a big gang. We started off with many games that set the children screaming and giggling. Then we had a scrumptious dinner. After that, we moved on to the highlight of the games, which is what my gibberish intro was for. Haha.
The highlight of the games was the pinata! That was the swinging 'it' thing I was talking about!!! And Chloe Country is actually my cousin chloe's birthday party. Kk. Let me explain the whole business in full detail. A pinata is any shape of any colour made out of cardboard, with candy filled inside of it. You get blindfolded, and a person hands you a stick. You hit the pinata with all your strength, and if it doesn't break, the next person gets a try. Well, in my case, that was how it was. Our pinata was in the shape of a pony. All the children lined up from the smallest to the biggest, (because if the biggest goes first and manages to break it, the smaller ones will not get a chance) and each got 3 chances. Because thay were so young, (this explains my young army) all of them didn't manage to break it. Then as time went by, dents were made in the pinata, but it was far from broken. Then came the four teenagers' turn.(Me, my sister Cheryl and Jeremy and Justin, my cousins) We were helping my Godma with the games cos she was the gamemaster, and with so many children, it was difficult to manage without helpers. Because I was the youngest of the four, I got to go first. This is where the 'story' starts. I broke the pinata, and all the children behind me charged forward and squeezed at the area where all the sweets fell, grabbing as much candy as they could, and stuffing it into their goody bags. It was really a sight to remember. After they cleared, the ground was as bare as the desert. I am serious!! They took everything!!! I didn't even get to see what kind of candy came out from the pinata!! But that was okay. They were only primary ones and twos anyway. So small and cute.
Next we played more games, with children running about and squealing, some laughing, some coughing and sneezing. The four of us were in-charge of these games, while my Godma rested and chatted with the other adults because she was in-charge of the first half of the games. We were a sad case because we forgot how tiring it was to be kids. Haha. We ran and ran with them, screamed until our throats went hoarse, tried to control them until we gave up, told them to keep quiet until we had to play simple simon says just to quieten them down, and listened to their requests until all of them started shouting out their opinions and we had to stop them. It really wore us out, but it was worth it when we saw the satisfied faces of the children. It infected us and we felt happy too. In the end, the games only ended at about 10 plus 11.
Parties aside, I'm still doing my eoys. Tomorrow I'm having chinese, then tuesday will be maths, and then 'boom!'. We'll be dreading our horrible results. Haha. Not something I'm looking forward ti, but I'm definitely anticipating the after exam activities.
I'll post pictures of the party and the pinata scene if I ever remember, cos I got to get back to my work now. Yes, last minute work. Check this entry if you ever get the chance, cos the pinata's a really cute little pony. But not anymore when the head broke off!!! Muahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!(Evil genious laugh)
