http://www.livejournal.com/interests.bml?view=popular&mode=text this is interesting. but now. must run. here is failed post from last week.
Went to the corner and saw the dresden dolls. we got there early so that we could see the first acts and get a close spot. the line went around the back of the place and past the car park by the time the doors open. and this for a presold out show on a monday.;
it was worth getting there early as there was a bunch of vaudville style acts and they even had a warm up act.
they had a campy mc who sang and introduced the acts, succh as a puppet show, burleque performance, juggling and dudes that got painted onstage.
the warm up guy got the crowd to do sing alongs and played the accordian, cara thinks it should be added to the list of instrument that should be made of wood ==> to hasten the process of combustion.
list.
1.harmonica
2.amperine
3 accordian
The dresden dolls had a great sound and i was most impressed by the drummer. he had a solid metal sound and used the double kick alot. i soo want a new drummer, but all the perps on melbands are either 15-18 or 40+. there must be a good drummer out there someplace. someone with the metal/ jazz rythem feel who wants to play weird rock. the dresden dolls guy would be perfect. they did a crazy versoin of war pigs. also time changes.
rockin.
on sundayt
had a picnic by the yarra opposite olympic park and watcxhed the sun set ovewr the city. the melbourne victory
were playing and we would try and guess the score from the crowd. the near misses (we guessed)sounded the best, the anticipation the cheer, the ohhh and then the clap.
