The end is nigh
Its now 5 days since school has finished and i can now look backwards and forwards through time at this ponderous year. I also feel sick. My days of judging the meek clients of the system have finaly finished of 15 minutes ago and i feel releived. Little notes home to guardians, well it never had much affect on me. Considering how much has happened i find it hard to relate anything. My trouble is all my good thoughts come at night and i am always at this site during the day, with cold fingers and a numb mind.
I saw some really awful bands recently and one good one, though i can't remember the name of the good one. Only the bad bands had enough impact to stick in my memory. Bad Bands? music that i don't like.
THe New Black: a tight and poppy fashion band. Go figure, the new black a fashion bands? really bland obvious chord progressions. they had a tambourine player, but sounded nothing like the brians johnstown massacre. The one thing that really struck me was how much they loved themselves. i don't think i have ever seen it so bad before, that was until i saw the sparrows play at the espy. They had all old valve ampos and those bad sixties hair cuts. First song intro like ride but quickly sounded like oasis. they wore couloured scarves and had the sort of dancing guitar player moves that you only get from studying the masters and practising for hours. The singer liked to let go of the guitar and raise his hands to praise the lights or the audience or himself. They did well at interesting the girls, they looked really good, especially the bass player, with the tight rocking moves. but for me music is all about the hair cut, long or none with. no inbetween.
those sort of bands seem popular, either that or noise. I still haven't seen my disco or the bird blobs, also the tristate lovers have good reviews.
