Joy on the Bike super highway.
ON the way to work i noticed that there was work afoot on the highway. The highway is really just a pedestrian path along an old disused tram track or somthing. However the track travels from merri creek through Clifton Hill, north Fitzroy, North Carlton to parklands and brunswick. Such is the bike superhighhway that at 830 in morning it is always streaming with bikies, bums in the air pedalling hard.
also it is quite pleasent with greass and trees and bike crossings at all the major intersections.
To this end i came accoss 7 workmen busy at work. Well. they had two lollipop men. two! i told you it was a busy path, two guys were diging a hole, two were watching and one was looking bored sitting in a backhoe thing. When i went past later, they had installed some new grass.
Went and saw a Cool Band, called Coldiz Glider. http://www.rockus.com.au/common/archives/interviews/colditzglider.html
and managed to insult a couple of the band members afterwards, which was nice.
