Soccer

i lack a certain drive in which to tell my stories. tho i like the change to livejournal so far.
A short while ago we had the traditional student versus teacher soccer match at the school. on the occasion of the year 7's having won the state title. it had been a while since the school had a pennant and so on a half size field we set out a dozen adults versus 11 12-year olds. it was a fun match at 3-1 the teachers way, like playing against an opposition that i can easily push out the way and who don't run too fast.
the teachers dominated the first half, before they got too tired and the students had a comback. i was on the left flank, as a sort of attacking midfield position. which was okay till i realised i wasn't a left footer. my one decent chance going wide. I was waiting on a corner kick, and a group of year 12's came up near the goal and pulled up their shirts (they were male) to reveal that they had the word 'vernon' accross their six chests. this was quite touching. then they turned around and they had 'sucks!' on the back. in any case i went in for the header but the goalie grabbed it before it hit my head. i should have push the kid out the way. too many eyewitnesses. like the large group of chanting students. melbourne victory style.
