First of all: A Big Thank You to all the regular contributors and all the fantastic interaction from our members! We moderators are so pleased at the turnout for our community and hope it continues to grow and grow!
However as our wonderful little community continues to develop and flourish on the net, some strife is bound to follow. It seems that we may have an issue with a lurker(s) re-posting material from our community without giving us the recognition for the find. We do our best to always credit our sources for everything we share here. It is only fair and right. So we (the moderating team) are asking that this community be given a simple nod any time anyone re-posts something from our group. We do not watermark images with our community’s logo as we do not believe that fair either. Yet, many of the images posted here are rare finds (or scans we actually make ourselves) and a lot of work goes into tracking down good quality images to share with all of you. So please just give us a nod when you can. We would very much appreciate it!
I have added the following blurb to our rules and guidelines:
We strive to bring you the latest Clively news first and so please be courteous and gracious and credit this community when re-posting elsewhere. We strive to always credit our sources, so we ask that you do the same for us. It is the right thing to do and certainly common courtesy.
I am simply asking all the lurkers out there to do the right thing here. We put a lot of work into this community and want to offer our members a great place to hang out and revel in all things 'Clive'. Period. What I do not want to see is disconent between us and other Clive communities on the net.
So with that said, back to Clive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EDIT: Another point has come up as well so I wish to clarify: this was not a 'hot-linking' situation but I do want to remind everyone that hotlinking is also not something anyone should do in general. It is poor internet etiquette as it can cost those of us paying for our hosting services additional money out of our pockets.
