It's Okada's birthday, which means I didn't manage to do my "V6 Birthday Challenge" I had set out for myself earlier in the year. Dammit! I'll definitely do the voice post and something else by New Years, though I did do a fair share of V6 fanart this year, so... Lots of Inocchi.
On the topic of New Years, I was tempted to do my "stay away from the internet for a week" thing for the days leading up to the 31st of December, and then return after midnight. Try to have a productive week basically. Reading, sketching, and movie watching. It's a decent time too, as TV isn't as much of a bother around then, and I also highly doubt there will be family visiting around that time too. Oh extended family, how I don't miss interacting with you~ This all still rides on if I decide to do it or not though. Still undecided.
In other news, it's snowing out. :D Ah, and I updated my art journal.

here (DSi gifs, beware the bunny), and
here (actual art, a fair share fandom related).
Oh, another media post. It's not like there is anything to report in life, ever, for me. Maybe I should stop combining my media posts with regular posts... Nah~ I could care less who reads it, but I do like friend locking certain things.
I like this kind of movie, I can't lie. Sometimes I find live action adaptations leaving me cold (Yatterman did this for me, I could recognise the "good points", but I didn't care at all), and other times I love them so much. They're never without their problems, but then again, which movie isn't, but they can be done well. Oh so well. One of my favourite movies, MW, is a manga adaptation where they completely changed the ending, but oh, I love that movie so much. Anyway, this is about Space Battleship Yamato, which I found wonderful. A bit cheesy, but I do love this kind of cheese, so it sat well with me. Meisa was gorgeous in this, as she usually is, and Kimura was quite fantastic. Together, magic as far as I'm concerned. The only thing I didn't like, and because this is a movie, and largely and epic space battle action movie, it can't really be helped, was the seemingly rushed and not very well formed relationship, screen wise. Oh movies like this, you're so good for doing that~ Otherwise I found myself enjoying it greatly, and as enjoyed guessing who was going to die. I'm sorry, Ando was just too obvious in how they introduced him.
AH! One thing I really liked was the ship itself. If I ever get a spaceship in the future, when technology is supposedly going to be amazingly awesome, and ships don't look like how they are now, well, I'd want one that looks like a ship. A water ship. So much love. ♥ Just not the one from Ultraman though, that one was leaving things to be desired. I do remember I was going to watch a part again for the sake of when they rolled. I think the people shifted... They shifted... In space, during a roll. Movie gravity? Well, this is if I'm remembering correctly. Just once I'd like to see ships attacking each other in space while facing different directions, and not having the giant booms in space (see Firefly, they made nerds happy with some of this stuff, ah, I do recall making a "now please don't pull a Wash" joke to the movie at one point).
Also, the ending, with her on Earth... I so called that during the movie. It's so, ugh, it always happens, always. The whole kid coming to their mother who is remembering. Why does this irritate me so much? I don't know, I don't know~ I wonder if we're supposed to think the kid is theirs?
In other news, I started crying when I watched this movie. They weren't streaming, because it wasn't enough for my eyes to run over, but the tears, they welled. So, yes, I loved this movie. I don't know how other people feel about it, but whatever~ It was beautiful.
