This is what? Finished drama number 4 me this year.

So, I just finished watching Pu-Pu-Pu, which is way too fun to say, and I was pleased that there was the appropriate poo joke in there. Yes, this somehow pleased me greatly. My humour, sometimes it's just not right. Ah, this is also the oldest drama I have watched as of now. Yeah, sure, 1998 isn't that old, whatever~ Hell, the main reason I ended up watching this was because all the Ken gifs reminded someone about a certain scene and so I searched for this for someone on twitter, and ended up on the page for the drama, so I decided to just watch it.

Anyway, back to the drama. I opted to watch the really, really sub par quality subbed version (and then proceeded to get the much higher quality DVD rips, because quality is always lovely to have) for the sake of understanding... My eyes, that was so hard on them, so if I ever watch this again, well, it's not going to be that version. I could still make out shapes though, which was good enough for me. Because of this though, we shall focus on the story line.

This drama is very much one of those coming of age dramas that are either a complete delight or a complete disaster to watch. This one I would qualify as a delight. It had my emotions going. I laughed, I didn't cry (coming of age dramas never really make me cry), but other funny things were done with my emotions, and there were a few moments where the emotions matched some I've been having over the past few months, which was an experience to say the least. Normally I can remove myself away from a drama enough to just enjoy it as such, but not with this one apparently. That being said, all of these emotions and the overall enjoyment of the piece, I'd say I'd probably watch it again, and recommend it as well. It's a rather good drama, or well, good enough to get a heart from me.

In terms of how well the main three actors did, well, I think it's pretty obvious that the three of them do have chemistry, you know, being Coming Century and all, and it helps that all three of them are actually rather decent actors. They played their characters well, and you could really feel the emotion. I realise this isn't considered Okada's "breakout" role, but he did amazing here. His facial expressions, hell, all of their facial expressions. Currently I don't have as much exposure to Go and Ken's acting compared, but they did good. It was well acted overall, though the characters fit the actors as well, so in a way it could be compared to Sho pulling a Bambi, but I could care less. The acting was engaging enough overall for me (though there were some bits that were overacted, but I'm kind of strangely fond of that).

These three, always a delight. I can feel my V6 love growing even more, and oh my, they are so young here, it's adorable. ♥ They're so small~ I know they still are now (we're in the same height range), but this drama just makes them feel tiny for some reason, though I guess that's the whole being young thing. Adorable.

And now, because I can, while I would give Okada an award for "worst consistent hairstyle" for the drama, Ken takes the cake for "worst hairstyle in the whole thing", though I actually don't think it's that bad... It has it's merits.

I hear some people find it nightmare inducing though. Oh Ken, you and your hair~ It's kind of cute.
