Mark demanded to know about a few of my LiveJournal interests. And apparently if you comment, I have to pick seven of your interests and you have to do the same thing.
1. Not masturbating.
This one goes way back. I've been constantly not masturbating for longer than I can remember. In fact, I just happen to be not masturbating right now.
2. Neil Cicierega
It all started circa 2001 when
this animation. At the time it was the greatest thing ever, though it wasn't until a few years later that I found out that it spawned several sequels and parodies/homages (including "Aussie Ben" Kosmina's Maemuki Rocketto-Dan). Fast forward to circa 2003, and I see a
cartoon puppet Harry Potter parody thing that I find hilarious, despite having never read any of the Harry Potter books or seen the movies.
Moving on to 2005, when
eBaum's World Sucks came along, the main attraction being a flash cartoon with music by a one-man band called
Lemon Demon. I didn't know much about the whole eBaum's World conflict before, but I liked the song. A few months later, Lemon Demon and eBaum's World Sucks animator Altf4 did another animation, The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny, which became a huge thing. A few months after that I started checking out Lemon Demon's other stuff and discovered the best music no one's heard of. Anyways, at some point around the time of Ultimate Showdown, I found out that Lemon Demon, Potter Puppet Pals, and Animutations were all from the same guy. And that guy's name was...
Neil "
trapezzoid" Cicierega. And now you know the rest of the story.
Whoa, that turned out to be longer than expected.
3. Segways
What can I say? Greatest form of human transportation I've never actually used.
4. Character map
104 (or however many) keys aren't enough to type what I want, so I turn to this useful Windows utility. From typing the é during the days of Pokémon to typing out things like Viva Piñata and E³, to even more impossible-to-type things like "ʬȟѬ҉۩☺☼♂♀♥♫♪▼◄▒," character map should suit my needs until they invent bigger keyboards.
5. Accordions
If I ever learn an instrument other than the Playskool Musical Phone, it would be the accordion. I can't quite put my finger on why, but there's something about its sound that can fit polkas
like this or can be put to more subtle use in rock music as heard
here.
6. Arrested Development
You were probably wondering whether I was referring to
the television series or
the hip hop group. I was referring to the TV series.
7. ...
For a while, I used to end a lot of my Instant Messages with ellipses. Like, instead of a period, I'd write three periods. Even at the time, I had no idea why.
