Legend of the Galactic Heroes Character Meme
Today, I finished that long anime (110 episodes). I still have all side-stories to watch (which will take me another two weeks), but I decided to make this meme nonetheless. I doubt my likes and dislikes will change at some point. Anyway, LoGH is a splendidly told story, and its creators did a great work with all those details. Still, it contains some plot twists I generally hate in every type of fiction, so I can't call it my favourite; but it really was good to watch it ^^ And I think I'm going to watch Star Wars soon again :P S-f anime usually make me do so xD
01. The first character I fell in love with:
I didn't fall in love with any character, but if I were pressed to admit it, it would happen around Episode 75 and the object would be Oskar von Reuenthal. With his one remark he shot up to the top of my favourite characters list and straight to my heart. Also, I fell in love with Paul von Oberstein's voice at once, but it happened 20 years ago when I heard Kaneto Shiozawa for the first time ^^ I also came to like Kircheis very much at some late point... -_-'
02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now:
Reinhard. I am wary about geniuses of his type, but he turned out to be a good person after all ^^
03. The character everyone else loves that I don't:
Yang Wenli? I somehow was bored with his constant remarks on how he didn't want to be a soldier in the first place :P
04. The character I love that everyone else hates:
I wouldn't say I love him, but I was never able to shake off some feeling of sympathy for Oberstein.
05. The character I used to love but don't any longer:
Probably none. Well, I think I preferred Julian when he was sweet 14-years old xD
06. The character I would shag any time:
Oh, there are many hot guys in this anime, but I don't find anyone making me feel that way ;)
07. The character I'd want to be like:
Hilda, I think; she is very strong-willed, preceptive and intelligent woman. Also, Mittermeyer, who is faithful and simply a good man.
08. The character I'd slap:
Reinhard, but only on a few occasion ^^
09. A pairing that I love:
I'm pretty OK with all the pairings in the series, but I was somewhat very excited at the thought of Reuenthal/Elfriede. And, of course, I do worship Reuenthal-Mittermeyer true male friendship, as well as Reinhard-Siegfried ^^
10. A pairing that I hate:
Definitely none.
11. Favourite character:
That's pretty hard. If Kircheis had lived longer, he would probably have been my Number 1. Alas, things being as they were, Oskar von Reuenthal (even though he made it to the top as late as Episode 75.)
12. My five favourite characters:
Other than Reuenthal... Siegfried Kircheis, Wolfgang Mittermeyer, Reinhard von Lohengramm, Emil. Hmm... I also like Julian, Attenborough, Cazellnu, Shönkopf... But I really prefer Imperial side more :P
13. My five least favourite characters:
Rubinsky, Truniht, De Villie, Lang. Probably many more, but I don't bother myself with remembering them.
14. Which character I am most like:
It may be presumptuous on my part, but having thought of no-one else I'd say that Reuenthal. Just like him, I tend to keep my real feelings deep inside and behind a shell, and I also am of the opinion that "I'm not qualified to become someone's parent". (Aww, Oskar, let me hug you...)
15. My deep, dark fandom secret:
Ah, I heard Koyasu as Siegfried in a movie. I'm happy about it, even thought I have nothing against his seiyuu in the main series :P Well, I don't think that my liking of Koyasu is a secret anyway :P
