You do not fail. I still hate everything I do, but the only way I even BEGIN to deal with this stuff is by practicing. And practicing. And practicing. And imitating. And practicing. ♥

I do so fail. :'< But at least I'm not the worst icon maker ever. Just... Not so good yet. BUT EVENTUALLY I shall be amazing and awesome and etc., etc.
This was actually meant to just be practice, but I ended up posting them because I actually liked a couple.

I've got the imitating part down at least, lololol.
Fricking fonts, though. I can never make them work like they're supposed to.

If you want tips or anything, I can share what little I know? Though most of what I do, like manga coloring, comes to me because I'm an artist.

Fonts are tough. My laptop crashed and I lost all of the ones I had. /cry D: What program do you use?

I automatically thought of Otoya when I saw it, and that thought alone is enough.

Tips would be AMAZING. I'm just playing this by staring at my options and guessing at what would look best. I don't mind manga coloring, but I'm not very good, because I'm not a very good artist. *Weeps*

D: I try to look on dafont.com and think about what I want while scrolling through the ones they have.
I use Photoshop Elements, because there's no way I can afford to dish out $40-$70 for a better program. ;3;

HAHAHAHA XD Nope, it's Hamlet from the Air Gear Musical. Which has Ozaki's actor in it, which is why I watched Den-O in the first place.

I'm on AIM unless my comp crashes, so feel free to jump me. Photoshop is hard, yo, and I sometimes play with things like 50 times 'til I find something I like.

That's a good idea. I try to have some fonts of each thing. Some good curly ones, some good pixely ones (Silkscreen is a REALLY nice one), some plain decorative ones, and a good comic book font for editing manga. Hehe.

FUN FACT: I started watching Den-O because of Princess Princess. No joke. Ryotarou's actor was in the live-action version of it. I was surfing wikipedia one day, and well... Couldn't resist checking it out.

I'm definitely going to take you up on that -my AIM's on whenever my computer is on. ;D Ragafragaoasuhfdas, you're telling me. It took me two days just to fix Ryuuta's icons, and those aren't even that complicated.

I wanted to get some childish-feeling fonts for most of Ryuutaros's icons, but I just ended up typing 'child' in the search bar. XD; I think your method's definitely better -I'll get some in advance next time, that way I don't have to spend fricking hours trying to get one that looks substandard.

Well, thanks to the previous mentioning of Paradisa, I looked it up and now want to join it more than I want to breathe.
