First of all, I hate the saying "Season's Greetings." I understand that there are any number of holidays out there at this time of the year, and people want to have a nondenominational way of saying 'have a good one'. But this particular saying just rankles me, it's akin to saying "Whatever it is that you celebrate, pretend that I made the proper greeting for it."
To the general public, I ask this question: As time goes on in a relationship, is it the usual thing for phone and online conversation to dwindle, even as in-person conversation remains strong as ever? Is it because we're no longer getting to know the person, or no longer trying desperately to impress someone who appears to be way out of our league? (hypothetically speaking, naturally)
The Saints are division winners. I will say no more, because I'm supremely superstitious about such things. I will say the bandwagon is forming, the caravan will be moving out soon, and the big pieces of wood will be handy, in case they are needed.
I will say that it's been so cute to see my dad come back to the Saints, after having his heart broken for so long. He tunes in to only watch the second half of games now, because he's seen far too many good first halves from our team. He's been getting pleasant surprises, too.
Apparently my company is switching to a uniform policy for the staff. We tried it with the kids, and it was...well...a disaster. We bought something like 200 white polo shirts and a buttload of black dickies pants, to find that they were destroyed, stolen, or thrown away within two months. We're going to try it again with the kids, and make the staff do it too. I heartily disapprove, especially because we're getting two polos and a sweatshirt. We can't even get them to give us a week's worth of uniforms. Ugh.
It's late, and I'm sleepy. Peace out.
