All right, people, listen up, I need assistance and pronto.
Those of you that know me well know I'm dedicated to the idea of humor. It's a powerful tool, one I generally use well.
However, I cannot deny that my endless search for humor has occasionally led me into saying incredibly foolish, thoughtless, and offensive things. So I seek help in figuring out how to minimize my need to be funny all the damn time.
Counting to ten is one idea. I'm considering writing off trying to be funny just because it's a lot of work with not much return (especially at work) but the main thing is that I've been doing it for so long that I don't know if I can change or stop.
Suggestions are, as always, welcome.
