"you can't wage war with serena without an ally....you need me"
I love Gossip Girl! I have some questions/comments about the last episode and CB of course so Alix and Ally, talk about it with me!!
I'm confused about Chuck's "confession" about his mother. What I think is that Chuck's mother did die in childbirth and Chuck must have moved to the UES some time when he was maybe seven or eight but for some reason Bart told people she died when he was six in a plane accident. Am I the only one who thinks that? Otherwise I have no idea why he told Dan the two different stories.
I love the one CB scene we got. Just like CeCe told Chuck in the Hamptons, he is SO transparent. It was exactly what I thought! He brought her down just so she could turn to him for help. Unfortunately for him, his plans never work! Does he not know this by now? So instead she ripped him a new one and he got so depressed he tried to turn to Bart for emotional support. Poor Chuck. Your daddy is a bigger Bass-tard than you are! I need one episode where neither Blair nor Chuck are crying or in severe emotional distress. My heart can't take it!
I think the writers dropped the bomb in this episode with one thing. The very end should have had one more CB scene. It would have been perfect, and the earlier scene would have been the perfect set-up for it. Blair is sitting on her bed, phone in her hand, realizing that she is going to have big problems with Serena and that she might want to have some help if she's going to go up against her. She might consider Jenny since they have some truce going now, but Jenny isn't manipulative enough, so she thinks about her conversation earlier with Chuck and how he offered to be her ally in a war with Serena. And of course since she so totally needs him, for many different reasons but of course she wouldn't admit that...she calls him and tells him she needs him!
End scene.
Wouldn't that have been perfect? They could start reconnecting again WHILE scheming! It would be priceless. Maybe this can still happen? I just wish it had in this episode, it would have been the perfect conclusion, and it would have made total sense within the context of the episode. There could also have been a scene where CB meet up at the Palace Bar and they talk about...well everything. His mother, her mother, his father, Serena, how they are so freaking similar it's not funny! I wish I knew what was going to happen with them in the future. I saw one spoiler pic from ep 7 that has them in it, so I know they at least have one scene in that episode, but I have no idea what's going on in it so that sucks. I really just want them to start reconnecting in some way! How on earth are they going to start trusting each other otherwise?
I'm either going to bed or working on my video some more. This week needs to end! It's been horrible so far. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.
