Well, let me start off by wishing everyone a happy new year.I know I havent posted in a really long time but I've been gone, as well as lazy. I went to Sequoia National Park about 4 days ago , It was beautiful and exquisite, lacking nothing in the true wonders of nature; But let me tell you, the drive through the mountains are freaky as fuck. Holy shit they were scary. You're on basically, a sheer cliff; up about 2,000 or so feet and holding on for dear life while driving over ice and snow as well as through continuous rain. In all honesty it did me no good. But I did see the largest tree in the world, it was pretty big, definitely up there with the best of them. We stayed in an unusually adorable cabin, it had two floors and a fireplace. On the bottom floor there was a cute kitchen and living room with a bed in the middle; go figure. On the top floor there were a few rooms, one with multiple bunk beds, I dont know why! Overall it wasnt my kind of thing, everyone else enjoyed themselves, I personally must have been a delight to travel with; Anxiety and all.
New topic, I finally finished Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs (That should be underlined because it is in all actuallity a book containing a collection of short essays by Chuck Klosterman; a brilliant writer and journalist for SPIN magazine). Although I am an extremely literate and good reader, I stopped this book mid way through for some reason, forgetting to restart it for about a 2 months or so, therefore taking me around approximately 3 months to finish. But anyways, in this book, Chuck, as I'm sure is his preferred cognomen, makes metaphorical comparisons between the TV show "Saved by the Bell" and reality, as well as bringing up the never ending question, "Are all housewives whores?" This book in my opinion was sequestered with twists and turns as to its concepts throughout each essay and their overall answers based on the personal beliefs and viewpoints of my man Chuck.
