I finally understood.
I used to always ask my close friends, especially those who are married, getting married, or in a long-term relationship these questions:
"How do you know if he's the one? How do you determine that this man will be the father to your child? How do trust your life into his hands for the rest of your life?"
Cynical, I know. But I wanted to know. I even asked my mum why was dad the one for her. And everyone, including my mum answered me, almost in unanimously, "You'll know when you meet the right one." When I heard that I was almost frustrated with their answers. How do you know if he is the right one??? Just how? Is there really no answer to it?
Until today. I finally understood each and every one of them.
Never in my life have I trusted someone so much, so much so that I know he will do everything in consideration of me and my well-being as first priority. Never in my life have I had someone who knows when and what I feel just by a bat of my eyelid and knows how to handle me at my worst, who brings me for korean food just because I love it even though he isn't a fan of kimchi stew. And never in my life have I wanted to be with someone so badly for the rest of my life. If you know me long enough, you will understand how huge of an attestation that is for me to say it.
And, really, you will know it once you meet the right one.
