My fourth of July was good. I enjoyed my family being together and having Adam there made it all the better. My dad and Adam and my brother (Ben) played music all day. Adam and Zachary had a peaceful conversation so I'm glad that went well too. Kara informed me why Zachary didn't like Adam in the first place and I'd have to say it clears things up a bit. Here's the run-down...
One of Zachary's recent ex-girlfriends had a crush on Adam. They had been calling each other when Kara suggested that Adam take me out on a date. I'm not sure if they ever went out or anything but I guess for a short time Adam was working a two (wo)man operation, thus Zachary figured Adam was a player and was worried that I was going to get hurt. Also I'm sure there was a mild case of resentment as far as the ex-girlfriend thing goes.
Ah well, I think everything will work out just fine. Before long I'm sure they'll be buddies.
A week ago Adam bought me a ring. Not a scary serious one, but a nice "thinking of you" one. He pitched it with class. It's a gold ring and it has a green emerald with diamonds around it. I asked him what it was for and he said this "Because green is my favorite color, you are my favorite girl, and it is almost as pretty as you are."
