Money makes the world go round

After deep thought and calculation I may have figured it all out. I'm going to hate life for awhile.

So with recent dreams of going to college next spring I've racked my brain for ways to pay for my car in a year. I can't pay it off completely, but I'm going to get as close as I can.

I owe $12,500(ish).

If I work two 16 hour shifts and three 8 hour shifts (7 days a week done in 5) I can pay $700 a month on my loan, $400 of that going straight to the principle. That's $4,800.00 for one year, and $3,600.00 of that will be used with interest.

Having paid $8,400.00(ish), in a year I will owe only $4,100.00(ish).

16 hour days suck but so does trading in my car for anything less. I love my car.

I want to go to CMSU all 4 years but we'll just have to see how much I can pay on my car. I may have to go to a community college and then transfer after 2 years. My parents made deals with my siblings about college cars so I'm thinking if I can get it down to $4,100.00 then they can carry the torch while I'm in school. That's a couple thousand less than they spent on the others. Pretty reasonable, yes?

This is my plan.
