George Friedman: Polish position in Europe

He is the founder, chief intelligence officer, financial overseer, and CEO of the private intelligence corporation STRATFOR. He has authored several books, including The Next 100 Years, The Next Decade, America's Secret War, The Intelligence Edge, The Coming War With Japan and The Future of War.
Strategic Forecasting, Inc., (Stratfor) - prywatna agencja wywiadu, założona w 1996 w Austin w stanie Teksas przez George'a Friedmana. Nazywana niekiedy cieniem CIA[1].
Zajmuje się opracowywaniem wszelkiego rodzaju analiz i raportów na potrzeby klientów prywatnych, a także niektórych agend rządu Stanów Zjednoczonych (m.in. CIA). Najwyżej cenionym produktem Stratforu jest raport dzienny (ang. daily intelligence briefing), stanowiący niekiedy jedno z podstawowych źródeł informacji o zagrożeniach bezpieczeństwa światowego.
George Friedman - amerykański politolog żydowskiego pochodzenia, absolwent City College of New York, doktorat uzyskał na Cornell University. Jest założycielem i dyrektorem generalnym Stratfor. Zajmuje się geopolityką i współczesną doktryną wojenną. Pracował jako doradca w kwestiach bezpieczeństwa dla czołowych amerykańskich dowódców wojskowych. Autor kilku książek, m.in: The Future of War, The Intelligence Edge, America’s Secret War oraz „Następne 100 lat. Prognoza na XXI w.” (The Next Hundred Years: A Forecast for the 21st Century) (2009).
Stratfor bills itself as a geopolitical intelligence and consulting firm, with revenues derived from subscriptions to its website and from corporate clients. On the consulting side, the company says it helps clients to identify opportunities, make strategic decisions and manage political and security risks.
