Back In Portland

Seattle was fun but now it's back job seeking. I called the USPS employment specialist line today to find out about working for the Post Office. The guy said I'd have to take an exam and that they would ship out study materials and such so that I can look them over and when I feel ready I can go take the exam. Employment is based on test results, which is cool with me. The only thing is that there is an $85 fee that you must pay before they ship out the materials for you to study. If you don't pass or get hired the money is refunded back to you.

On the other hand I've been bugging Game Stop about employment. The manager said that due to recent game releases and some meetings he is behind on his hiring schedule and he'll be working on hiring new employees at the end of this week. So, I'm going to call again at the end of the week and see if he has looked over my application and resume and to make sure he knows I'm still interested in working there.

I figure that if Game Stop does not work out, then I will take up Sean's offer to pay the $85 fee to take the USPS exam. (Not that I won't still be seeking out and applying to other places like I have been). If I end up passing and getting a job there then I can easily pay him back and if I don't then the money is refunded anyway. So either way he'll get it back.
