hot damn, the hieroglyphics show fucking KICKED. made me realize my concert-attending was grown on rock shows, which, in terms of audience involvement and willingness to get down, pale in comparison. made me understand the criticisms of rock music a little better. man, i've never seen a crowd react so well to all opening acts. at a rock show, i feel like one usually sees a big abyss of rigid erect bodies vibing the openers to get off the stage so they can see who they paid for. last night, the crowd turned into a gaggle of flailing hands and gyratin' bodies before the end of teh first bar - before the mc even grabbed the mic.
i've never seen such support for independent artists, it's crazy.
