Well, yes, I once again need your precious omniscience in German! ^^

My sister is doing Desperate Houswives sketches in her German classes (fun, isn't it? ;-), and she asked me to help her with some things. But the fact is that this is realy slangy, and even if I'm pretty familiar with English slang, I'm not with German slang...

Could you translate some lines for me? Pleeeeeaaaase?? *puppy eyes*

Here they are:

Edie: "I know who she is. She’s a man-eating, scum-sucking ho bag!"

Edie: "Oh I’m just saying that Karl screwed us both!"

Bree: "You know they’re always coming up with these excuses to justify being a home wrecker."

Gabrielle: "Exactly! Like, 'he wouldn’t have been with me if he was gettin’ it at home.'"

Lynette: "'Oh, honey, you’re the love of my life, she’s just the runner up.'"

Gabrielle: "Look, I think we all know that Karl is a dog. But let’s face it, if these tramps were laying out the buffet, he wouldn’t be chowing down!" (I don't even know what the two last words mean... I found the transcription on a website :s)

Susan: "She’s a slutty, slutty whore, absolutely!"

Thanks!! It's be wonderful if you find the time and the motivation to do it for me, and it's alright if you don't :)

*hugs you*

damn that's hard to transalate *laughs* and she is doing that in CLASS *cracks up*

Edie: "Ich weiß wer sie ist. Diese männer-fressende, sperma-schlürfende alte Schachtel!" is there a translation for that? ho bag if you descripe me more what it means I could go further!" I think it means old bag...

Edie: "oh, ich sag doch nur das Karl uns beide sowas von auf's Kreuz gelegt hat!"

Bree: "Du weisst doch, wie sie immer mit diesen Entschuldigungen ankommen, um sich dafür zu home wrecker zu sein." would you definit the meaning here more clearer?

Gabrielle: "Genau! So was wie, 'er würde doch gar nicht mit mir zusammensein, wenn er es zu Hause nicht besorgt bekommen würde'"

Lynette: "'Ach Schatz, du weisst doch, dass du die Liebe meines Lebens bist, sie wird niemals Nummer eins sein'" `actually it means: sie wird immer die Nummer 2 sein - in engl. she is number 2... but that wouldn't be an excuse >.<

Gabrielle: "Ich denke wir alle wissen was Karl für ein Schwein ist. Sehen wir den Tatsachen doch mal ins Gesicht - if these tramps were laying out the buffet, he wouldn’t be chowing down!"

Susan: "Sie ist wirklich eine schlampige/nuttige Hure!"
better: sie ist wirklich eine nuttige kleine Schlampe

THANK YOU!! You're sooooo sweet! *hugs you*

For the "ho bag" thing, I think Eddie is crying when she says it, the "ho" might be a sobb, because a "scumbag" is a berk... But thanks for the man-eating and scum-sucking words ;-) (I'm not sure I'll let my sister say that in front of her teacher, though... XD)

Home wrecker is "briseuse de ménage" in French, which means a woman who sleep with a man who already has a girlfriend (or boyfriend, but that's less frequent... *grins*) and thus make his couple wreck... Do you see what I mean?

And for the tramps, don't worry, I think I'll advise her to cut it ;-)

Thanks a lot!! That's so kind from you! I know translating is really really hard, I already have some diffculties from English to French, but from English to German, it's almost impossible for me XD

Lucky me, you're always willing to help!! :D

xxxx

Jo
