i so wasted the last two years of my life
i so don't give a fuck.
update since last time i posted: house? didn't move. school? yeah kind of in grad school. gave a lecture about cyborgs in a religion class. band? not doing that anymore.
i spent way too much money on guitar and guitar pedals and an amp but i don't care. my new band is better than my old band because my new band is a healthy environment. oh and we sound good. kind of nervous to play guitar in front of people but until a couple weeks ago"kind of nervous" used to be "i have crippling social anxiety about playing guitar in front of people" so i'm doing quite well in that department.
did i mention buying a 1978 japanese les paul knock off somehow makes you pretty good? i think it does. i love the feedback i get. i love the fact i figured out how to make pop songs out of feedback. i can't believe stupid bullshit guitar parts i've been writing for years actually sound good under a wall of noise and with a backing band. i can't believe people are this excited about a band that's never played a show yet. I can't believe we already get asked to play shows. In the 2 years i was with that other band, we barely got asked to play shows we didn't book.
i can't believe we've practiced as a full band twice and we're already recording an album.
